Leslie and I, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Butterfly.

The welcome was superb. To come to the villa to a great dinner after a day's travel was really appreciated. The welcome basket was abundant and included local baked goods.

I felt very comfortable and safe at the villa. There was state of the art security system, although I hardly think that we needed it. The location made driving to the beach,, restaurants, shopping etc really easy. The furniture especially the bed, were wonderfully comfortable. Linen was always fresh and smelled great. Fresh flowers were broth in when housekeeping came in. Most important of all was the way we were made to feel comfortable, and like family by the owners and staff.
The most difficult thing was leaving...........did I mention the Bougainvilleas and Proteas in the yard?..........I can go on and on :)
It's a fantastic and 'affordable' experience worth having......

We just returned from 18 days in Anguilla. We stayed in the "Little Butterfly" apartment, which is on the ground floor under the owner's villa. It is the only apartment there so is very private. The property is surrounded by a wall with a gate and guarded by two big, very friendly dogs so we felt very safe. It is in the George Hill area, a little west of the main town looking out over St. Maarten. Not on a beach but that is what we prefer since we would drive to different beaches each day depending upon the wind direction. The island is small and all beaches are less than a 15-minute drive from the apartment. The beaches are fantastic, some of the best we have ever seen, with warm clear water. We prepared most of our meals in the apartment and the kitchen was great, with top-of-the line appliances. There are three good-sized supermarkets and many smaller markets and we had no problem finding the groceries we needed. Food prices were quite reasonable for the islands. There are many very good restaurants but their prices are pretty high. The apartment owner and housekeeper were very helpful and promptly attended to any request. They arranged our rental jeep and it was at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It was a great vacation and we would highly recommend both the island and the apartment.
