“The Event” European Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Cuisinart Golf Resort & Spa

Jan. 27- Feb. 3rd: 41st Anniversary of Police Week
Week of activities and awareness talks throughout the island at the various schools. Concerts, car raffle with dinner & dance to round off the entire week. (Activities start at various times)

 

February 2013

Feb. 11: Ms. Valentine Pageant
Pageant takes Place @ LBCC with contestant from the ALHCS (8:00)

Feb. TBA: Community Foundation Classical Concert
The Anguilla Community Foundation invite musician from all over the world to perform at the Bethel Methodist Church to raise funds for their charitable organization. (7:30 – 9:00)

Feb. 9: St. Gerard's Garden Party
Hosted on the Grounds of historic Wallblake House, showcasing food from other islands prepared by members of St. Gerard's congregation live music and dancing.(7:30 – until)

Feb. 21-24: 24th Annual Moonsplash Festival
Takes place at the Dune Preserve on Rendezvous Bay, normally around the first full moon before Easter.  The concerts are hosted by Anguilla’s very own Bankie Banx, featuring internationally-acclaimed and regional recording artiste from around the world. 8:00 pm – until)

Feb. 22-24: 11th Annual Anguilla Yacht Regatta
Yacht racing between the regional racing fraternity with a local B class boatrace normally on the last day of regatta. (various starting times)

Feb. 25 & 26: Agricultural Open Day
A two day display of local produce with demonstrations, by the various agricultural services and partners. Takes place at the Agriculture Department. (10:00 am – 6:00pm)

Feb. 23 & 26: Annual Flower and Garden Show
Two days of flower displays and competitions on the grounds of Wallblake House. (11:00 am – 6:00 pm)

Mar. 2 : James Ronald Webster Day
Speeches and tributes to the Father of the Nation (James Ronald Webster) takes place at Webster's Park. (8:00am – noon)

Mar. 29 : Good Friday
A day of church services for all denominations throughout the island. (Various times)

Mar. 30 & 31: Festival Del Mar, Easter Saturday & Sunday
Celebrating all things of the sea in the beautiful fishing village of Island Harbour.  Deep Sea fishing competition, Boatracing, swimming races, crab races and culinary competition, and live string band music are all part of the activities for this two day event. (10:00 am – 11:00 pm)

May 2: National Day of Prayer
Marks the beginning of the month long Anguilla Day Celebrations to commemorate the revolution of 1967. An entire day of prayer at the House of Assembly, at churches and other public places throughout the island.

May 4-18th: World Vin Cup Life-Style Regatta

May 6: Labour Day
Competitive games between the various on island social clubs at the Ronald Webster Park, also known as Fun Day. (10:00 am – until)

May 23-26: 2nd Annual “Anguilla Lit Fest: A Literary Jollification
Celebrate the literary heritage of Anguilla and find yourself  inspired by three days of informative workshops, stimulating seminars and exciting literary presentations by leading authors from America, Canada, the Caribbean and host nation Anguilla, all against the backdrop of Anguilla’s splendid white sand beaches and tranquil turquoise waters.

May 26: Valley Street Festival
Local vendors, Farmers Association, Scouts and Guides, Anguilla National Culinary & Arts Association and the Department of Youth & Culture in partnership with the Anguilla Tourist Board present this cultural extravaganza at the People’s Market with traditional cuisine, art and craft, Domino Competitions, face painting, live music, games and a cycling competition. (10:00am – 6:00pm)

May 27: Welches Fest
Welches Fest takes place on the ball field in Welches Village on Whit Monday, a religious and Public Holiday.  Starting around 5:30 am you can have an old-fashioned breakfast of flour pap to start your day.  All things at this fest are of yesteryear including Food, toys and games and music. (5:30 am – 8:00pm)

All uniformed organizations parade at James Ronald Webster Park and cocktails are served in the evening at Government House to invited guests.

 

July 2013

Jul. 14: Annual Miss “Tiny Tott” Pageant
Part of the Pre Summer Festival events. This pageant takes place at LBCC for girls ranging from 5 – 8 years old. (5:00 pm – until)

Jul. 6 & 7: 14th Annual John T. Memorial Cycling Race & Valley Street Festival
Annual Race held over a two day period with participation from regional and international cyclists.  Valley Street Festival in the area of the People market (10:00 am – 6:00pm).  Sting Band Music, local produce.

 

August 2013

Aug. 1 – 11 Anguilla Summer Festival

Forty six years of celebrating Anguilla’s National Sport, Boatracing, by day, and traditional carnival activities by night: pageants, calypso competitions, Band Clash competitions, and street dancing and revelry (various starting times at LBCC).

Aug. 3: South Valley Street Fair
Members of the South Valley Community unite and produce a fair with local food, cooking competitions and music.  (8:00 am – 6:00 pm)

Aug. 5: J'ouvert Morning, August Monday Emancipation Day
Take to the streets in the Valley at 4:30 am and dance your way down to Sandy Ground to the pulsating rhythms of Anguilla’s superlative Soca Bands.  Enjoy A & B Class Boatraces as you experience the #1 Beach Party in the entire Caribbean. (4:30 -11:00 pm)

Aug. 8 August Thursday
A day for picnics and family reunions and A & B class Boatraces at Meads Bay.  (11:00 am. – until)

Aug. 9 Grand Parade of Troupes
Revellers from villages all over the island are  joined by visitors from around the Caribbean and beyond for the grand parade through the streets of the Valley.  Colourful costumes depicting cultural and fantasy themes abound, and the winner of the Road March Band competition is announced. (1:00 pm -9:00pm)

 

November 2013

Nov. 30 -Dec. 6: Tourism Week
Includes Valley Street Festival and Cultural Fair, Church Service, school and industry-wide educational activities, and climaxes with the AHTA Grand Gala and Awards banquet.

Nov. 30: Anguilla's Optimists Race against Aids
Public awareness campaign to raise funds for AIDS related services.

 

December 2013

Dec. 18 Christmas tree Lighting
Lighting of Mahogany trees on Coronation Avenue and the old Valley Well area, serenading barbeques and string band competitions among other activities.  Organized by the Valley Community Club.

Dec. 13 – 19 Festival De Noel
Competitions and pageants held on the ground of the Old East End school. Organized by the East End community

Dec. 19 National Hero's and Heroines' Day
A government-sanctioned public holiday to honour our past and present heroes of the Anguilla Revolution.

Decem ber 25: Christmas Day
